Celtic Heroes Quest Armor & Weapons

Warden Armor

The first milestone on your journey is the Warden set. Once your character reaches level 60 you can seek out the Wardens Grove in Stonevale. Each warden offers a quest for a specific piece of armour. As you level up, new pieces become available in a fixed order: gloves at level 60, boots at 65, helm at 70, greaves or robe at 75, and finally breastplate and weapon at level 80. The sets have unique names for each class: Bloodstrike for warriors, Greythorn for rangers, Moonshadow for rogues, Loremantle for mages and Goldsong for druids. Completing each quest rewards you with a piece that significantly increases your defence.

To earn these pieces you must gather discs, ancient artefacts dropped by specific Stonevale bosses or traded from other adventurers. There are six disc types—Sun, Moon, Oak, Elm, Crown and Dragon—and each armour piece requires a precise combination. Warden Gloves require one Sun disc and one Moon disc; boots use one Oak disc and one Moon disc; the helm needs two Sun discs and one Elm disc; greaves/robe call for two Oak discs and two Crown discs; the breastplate requires two Dragon discs and two Elm discs; and the weapon requires two Dragon discs and two Crown discs. Collect the correct discs and return to the Warden NPC to receive your armour.

Stats: Warden armour provides solid early‑game protection. A typical warrior’s Bloodstrike Breastplate offers around 113 armour and resistances of about 80 to heat, cold and magic. The helm has 55 armour and grants 40 health, while greaves supply 91 armour and 60 health. Gauntlets and boots are lighter (around 26–39 armour) but still contribute to overall defence. Though modest compared to later tiers, Warden pieces lay a strong foundation for adventurers.

Meteoric Armor

With your Warden gear in hand you can embark on the next major upgrade: the Meteoric set. These gleaming suits are lighter than their predecessors yet provide superior armour, more health and energy, and additional attack bonuses. Crafting a Meteoric item requires your existing Warden piece plus coloured Remnants, elemental Tablets and a meteor crystal. Each class uses a specific colour of Remnant and Tablet—red for warriors, green for druids, blue for mages, yellow for rangers and black for rogues—and each armour piece corresponds to a different element and crystal tier.

The upgrade recipes are as follows: Gloves need three Remnants of Earth, three Water tablets and a Minor Meteoric Crystal; boots require three Remnants of Rock, three Earth tablets and a Lesser Meteoric Crystal; the helm takes three Remnants of Metal, three Fire tablets and a Common Meteoric Crystal; greaves use three Remnants of Stars, three Air tablets and a Greater Meteoric Crystal; and the breastplate calls for three Remnants of Space, three Mind tablets and a Grand Meteoric Crystal. Each class’s remnants and tablets come in class‑coloured varieties—for example, a warrior needs red Remnants of Earth and Water tablets of slate, while a druid uses green Remnants and tablets of granite.

These quests become available gradually as you progress. Meteoric Gloves can be crafted once you reach roughly level 80; boots at around 85; the helm at 90; greaves at 95; and the breastplate at 100. Each upgrade requires the Meteoric version of the previous piece along with the materials listed below.

Weapons: To upgrade your Warden weapon to a Meteoric weapon you must undertake a separate quest. Speak to Roarke the Blacksmith in Highshore Village once you reach level 105; he will ask for your Warden weapon and an Enchanted Sky Iron. This special metal is crafted by combining a Focus of Enchantment—obtained by collecting three class‑specific blessings from the Priestesses of Morrigan—and two pieces of Falling Star. Return to Roarke with the Enchanted Sky Iron and your Warden weapon to receive your Meteoric weapon.

Stats: Meteoric armour is noticeably sturdier and lighter than Warden gear. For a warrior, the Astral Breastplate boasts around 161 armour and resistances of about 110 to heat, cold and magic. The helm sits at roughly 78 armour with similar resistances and 55 health; greaves provide 129 armour and respectable resistances; boots give around 55 armour and gauntlets offer about 37 armour. These improvements increase survivability, health and energy while keeping weight manageable.

Meteoric Upgrade Requirements

Each remnant and tablet has a specific set of monsters that drop it. Knowing which creatures to hunt will make collecting materials much faster. The most reliable sources include Stonefang, Bonehead, Ironscale, Shivercowl and Rockbelly for remnants, and Copinger, Deadroot, Spearhorn, Bladewing, Goretusk and Redbane for tablets. Hunt the appropriate bosses to gather the materials listed below, then return to the quest NPC to perform the upgrade.

Frozen Armor

Frozen armour represents the third tier of the quest chain and takes you deep into the Otherworld. To begin, travel to the Tower Laystone and speak with the quest NPC after you have upgraded a Warden piece to its Meteoric form. You will be asked to bring a Meteoric item plus a number of class‑coloured Crests and Orbs of Frostweaving.

There are six crests themed after animals: the Crest of the Serpent for gloves, Crest of the Hound for boots, Crest of the Hawk for helms, Crest of the Stag for greaves, Crest of the Bear for breastplates and Crest of the Lion for weapons. Each class uses a particular colour—red crests for warriors, green for druids, blue for mages, yellow for rangers and purple for rogues. Frozen quests follow a strict progression: gloves require two Serpent crests and four Orbs of Frostweaving at level 110; boots need two Hound crests and five orbs at level 115; the helm uses two Hawk crests and six orbs at level 120; greaves take two Stag crests and seven orbs at level 125; the breastplate calls for two Bear crests and eight orbs at level 130; and the weapon finishes the sequence with two Lion crests and eight orbs at level 135. Completing these quests rewards you with powerful Frozen armour that dramatically boosts your defences and resistances.

Stats: Frozen gear offers some of the highest defensive numbers prior to Dragonlord. Each piece improves on its Astral predecessor with big jumps in armour, resistances and health:

Combined, these numbers give Frozen sets a huge survivability boost over Meteoric gear and prepare you for the challenges of the Carrowmore Tunnels.

Dragonlord Armor

The penultimate tier of quest gear is the Dragonlord set. To obtain it you must venture into the perilous Carrowmore Tunnels and defeat a series of increasingly powerful five‑star bosses. Dragonlord armour pieces become available at levels 150–175 and are crafted by trading in your Frozen gear along with class‑coloured ritual items. These ritual items include Gems, Eggs, Urns, Idols, Horns and Crowns, and each item comes in five colours corresponding to the five classes (red for warriors, green for druids, blue for mages, yellow for rangers and purple for rogues).

The ritual components drop from six bosses in ascending order of difficulty: Glashtyn the Ritualist drops Gems; Ulrob the Necromancer drops Eggs and Gems; High Priest of Donn drops Urns, Eggs and Gems; High King of the Firbolg drops Idols in addition to Urns, Eggs and Gems; Sreng the Chosen drops Horns along with Idols, Urns and Eggs; and Snorri the Dagda drops Crowns as well as Horns, Idols and Urns. By defeating these bosses and collecting the appropriate coloured items, you can exchange them with the Dragonlord vendor to upgrade your Frozen pieces.

Stats: Dragonlord armour delivers some of the highest defensive numbers in the game. A warrior’s Dragonlord Breastplate features an astonishing 271 armour with resistances of 191 to heat, cold and magic and 240 to chaos; it also provides 300 defence, 400 health and 200 energy. The helm has around 132 armour and grants 150 defence, 200 health and 100 energy. Greaves, boots and gauntlets offer similarly high armour and significant boosts to health, energy and skills. These attributes make Dragonlord gear a coveted end‑game goal.

Doch Gul Armor

The final tier of the quest armour line is the legendary Doch Gul set, sometimes called the Myth set. This armour is not available until you have completed the Exalted Dragonlord (EDL) quest line and reached very high levels (around 220+). To begin, journey to the Arcane Sanctum—the last level of Gelebron’s Tower—and speak with Master smith Equinox. He offers class‑specific quests that allow you to upgrade your EDL gear into Myth pieces.

Each class receives five Myth‑graded items—head, chest, legs, hands and feet. These items do not break the Exalted Aura from your Dragonlord set. Wearing a full Myth set grants dramatic bonuses tailored to your class. For example, the Mage set adds up to +900 damage to Fire Bolt and +1 800 damage to Ice Shards; the Warrior set boosts Taunt and survivability; the Druid set enhances healing spells; the Ranger set augments Sharpen Weapons and Rapid Shot; and the Rogue set improves Sneaky Attack and evasion. Individual pieces also provide high armour, resistances and attribute bonuses.

Stats: Unlike earlier sets, Doch Gul armour focuses less on raw armour and more on powerful stat boosts and damage. For example, the warrior’s Doch Gul Helm of Myth provides only 55 armour but adds 160 heat damage, 600 attack, and 160 strength and vitality; the breastplate offers 113 armour and 240 heat damage while boosting attack, strength and vitality by 240 each. Wearing the full Myth set unlocks enormous skill bonuses—warriors gain over 1 300 extra damage from Rupture and more than 1 800 extra damage from Giant Swing, while other classes enjoy comparable increases to healing or damage skills. These statistics make Doch Gul gear the pinnacle of power for seasoned heroes.
